Coaching for Education Programmes
Looking for a way to retain and refresh your staff? Essential Teaching UK offers coaching for education that supports learners and teachers alike, fostering a coaching culture that can benefit your school or college for years to come.
What is Coaching for Education?
Our Coaching for Education programme is designed to help teachers feel more confident and effective in their roles, leading to improved outcomes for students. Our team of experienced coaches work with teachers and support staff to identify areas for growth, set goals, and develop strategies for success. With our support, teachers can feel empowered to take risks, try new approaches, and develop their skills over time.
We believe that coaching in education is a powerful tool for supporting learners as well. By helping teachers to feel more confident and effective, we can create an environment in which students feel supported and challenged. Our coaching and mentoring programme can help teachers to develop strategies for engaging students, building relationships, and fostering a love of learning.
Why choose Coaching for Education?
There are many benefits to choosing Coaching for Education for your development and the development of others:
Accredited by Training Qualifications UK: Our Coaching and Mentoring qualifications are registered by the Office of Qualifications.
These qualifications will provide teachers with the skills and knowledge required to be effective coaches and mentors, helping to support the ongoing development of staff and students alike.
Flexible learning: Our programme is delivered over a part-time syllabus, allowing you to fit your studies around your existing commitments.
We are committed to creating a coaching culture that supports the ongoing development of staff and students. We believe that coaching for education is an investment in the future, and we are excited to partner with schools and colleges to create positive change.

Designed to support learners who experience difficulties with their learning. Mentors work closely with individuals who are struggling with social, emotional or behavioural problems that affect their ability to learn.
Designed to develop coaching skills involving communication techniques to actively listen, provide feedback and to engage and motivate learners in planning their individualised learning programme. These skills are integral to assessing learners’ knowledge and competence in the classroom.
Designed to support Recently Qualified Teachers (RQT), Newly Qualified (NQT) and returning experienced Teaching Practitioners who request or require professional development.
Stage Two: School-based Experience
In the second stage of the programme, you will gain practical experience in a school or college setting, working with our experienced coaches and putting your learning into practice. We will support you to develop your own coaching style whilst completing a 12 hours coaching and mentoring log.
Assessment is ongoing throughout the program and includes written assignments, coaching and mentoring observations, and self-reflection.
