Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement

This qualification is intended for those who assess both occupational competence in the work environment and vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in a workshop, classroom or other training environment rather than assessing competence in a work environment

Learning Objectives & Assessment

The course is made up of three core modules:

  • Module One - Understanding the principles and practices of assessment
  • Module Two - Assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding
  • Module Three - Assess occupational competence in the work environment

Learners must achieve 15 credits from three mandatory units to be awarded the TQUK Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (QCF).

The qualification is assessed through a portfolio of evidence which demonstrates the learner has met the required assessment criteria. All learners are expected to prove both their theoretical and practical knowledge within their portfolio of evidence and 4hrs assessing observations.

Entry requirements

Learners must be at least 18 years of age at certification There are no specific entry requirements, however learners should have a minimum of level two in literacy and numeracy or equivalent.

Certification

Learners will achieve the nationally recognised QCF approved Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement.

On successful completion of the course learners will understand the different types of assessment and how effective assessing is vital in guiding learners through the learning pathway.
