First post!

Following the launch of our new website, we have decided to start an @TeachingMentor blog – we have decided to participate in blog writing to share our ideas about teaching and learning, and to occasionally comment on educational issues in general.

Our blogs will explore ideas about student-led learning and learning ecosystems and more. As Education Consultants, we facilitate teaching and learning practice including project-based learning, coaching for education, flipped learning, 70; 20;10 model and the sharing of best practice pedagogy.

We work with schools, colleges and corporate clients to identify and develop their training and CPD requirements and support them to invest in their workforce building a stronger and more efficient model for the future.

We promise to remove the mystery of "educational speak" - ‘PEDAGOGY means the method and practice of teaching…’ Pedagogy Vs Andragogy - pedagogy is a child-focused teaching approach, whereas andragogy an adult-focused teaching approach.

Finally, I want to share the experience of the journey we have embarked on, from within Essential Teaching UK (ETUK) to working with Schools and Colleges, both in Portsmouth and further afield, as well as the experiences of our learners and teaching staff alike.
