Level 3 Award in Coaching & Mentoring
This qualification is designed to enhance the principles, skills and impact of coaching and mentoring and will develop expertise in coaching and mentoring for individual and team needs. This will support learners in understanding coaching and mentoring and the skills and knowledge required to be a coach or mentor. It is suitable for learners prior to or in employment who wish to develop their understanding of coaching and mentoring. Learners may be already working in a mentoring, coaching or support role or may use the qualification as part of progression to a role such as mentor, coach or teacher.
Learning Objectives & Assessment
The course is made up of three core modules:
- Module One - Understand the principles & skills of coaching and mentoring
- Module Two - Understand how to identify client goals & outcomes
- Module Three - Understand the impact of coaching on individual, team and organisational performance
The qualification is assessed through a portfolio of evidence which demonstrates the learner has met the required assessment criteria. All learners are expected to prove both their theoretical and practical knowledge within their portfolio of evidence.
Entry requirements
Learners must be at least 18 years of age at certification There are no specific entry requirements, however learners should have a minimum of level two in literacy and numeracy or equivalent.

Enrolment
This course is designed for individuals who would like to start coaching and mentoring or for those who are already coaching and mentoring but need a nationally recognised qualification for their career development.
Certification
Learners will achieve the nationally recognised RQF approved Level 3 Award in Coaching and Mentoring.
The aim is to give learners the confidence and knowledge to Coach or Mentor. By the end of the course learners will understand how to set up an effective coaching or mentoring environment.

Successful learners can progress to other coaching, mentoring, teaching and training, qualifications such as:

- Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training
- Level 5 Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring
