This will support learners in understanding coaching and mentoring and the skills and knowledge required to be a coach or mentor. It is suitable for learners prior to or in employment who wish to develop their understanding of coaching and mentoring. Learners may be already working in a mentoring, coaching or support role or may use the qualification as part of progression to a role such as mentor, coach or teacher.

A more extensive qualification, this qualification gives a broader knowledge of coaching and mentoring skills, focussing on coaching and mentoring relationships, operational processes and evaluation techniques. This will support learners in the development of both their theoretical and practical knowledge in coaching and mentoring, and reflective practice required to be an effective supervisor of coaches or mentors. It is suitable for learners prior to or in employment who wish to broaden their knowledge of coaching and mentoring. Learners may be already working in a supervisory role or leadership role or may use the qualification as part of progression to a role such as line manager or senior leadership teacher.
